Tales from a weekend in Paris

  • FIRST POSTED: 25th March 2012 | LAST UPDATED: 16th September 2015
Paris does not require a proper introduction. Considered by many the most romantic city in the world, it is a city that has grown on me over time. I think I must have visited a good 6 times, but Mr. O and I hadn’t ventured over the Channel for around 5 years, so it was great to go back.

The mountains are calling! Mrs O loves Val Thorens, French Alps

  • FIRST POSTED: 20th March 2012 | LAST UPDATED: 4th March 2020
Val Thorens isn’t a huge resort, but has everything we need – fantastic accommodation, great restaurants and great ski-in ski-out access. Oh and have I mentioned great skiing instructors?

A beginners guide to Port Wine by @TaylorsPortWine

  • FIRST POSTED: 29th February 2012 | LAST UPDATED: 16th September 2015
I have recently fallen in love with this special grape juice, which comes in many shapes and colours. Obviously, I didn’t know much about it, and always keen to learn. Should we raise a glass?

Mrs. O’s Rio de Janeiro address book

  • FIRST POSTED: 31st January 2012 | LAST UPDATED: 16th September 2015
We had a bit of fun in Rio de Janeiro – we sunbathed a little, we ate a little, we drank a little.. and we shopped a little (I am a big fat liar, but a lady never tells!). Here are some of the places we have been to and loved. My address book.

A luxury weekend in Rio de Janeiro – how I fell in love with the city

  • FIRST POSTED: 31st January 2012 | LAST UPDATED: 18th January 2021
I first went and fell in love with Rio de Janeiro some years ago, and was so impressed, I always promised I would go back. It took me 5 years – 5 years too many. To say that Rio de Janeiro is stunning, it is an understatement – it is sexy, “heartbreakingly” beautiful and elegant. Everything a girl wants to be!

Mrs O’s Lisbon – her address book!

  • FIRST POSTED: 28th November 2011 | LAST UPDATED: 26th September 2017
It is quite interesting that my beloved hometown – Lisboa – is becoming quite a popular destination for weekend breaks. This is good news for the “current economic climate”, but also because, in my humble opinion, it is quite a place. Here are my favourite places.
