This year, we went back to Switzerland for a bit of Alpine lux and ski. And found more than we expected at the fab Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains in St. Moritz.

It is always a pleasure to return to one of France’s leading ski resorts… and this time I did, with 6 of my dear friends for a week of snow, skiing and chalet comfort.

Oh and I did it again. I went back to Val d’Isere in the French Alps and I loved it even more. The stunning chalet may have a lot to do with it.

It was lovely to visit Alpe d’Huez, in the French Alps, for a little skiing just as the new season began. Because the mountains keep calling my name.

When Verbier called and invited me to come and experience some serious Swiss skiing, I could only say: “I am on my way, and surely won’t be late”.

There is something about the mountains – I absolutely adore them. I love being at the top of the world – and I love the peace and quiet. And loved Val d’Isere
