A Christmas gift guide for people who have everything
It is that time of the year. What do you buy for the person in your life that has everything? And you want just a little something, nothing crazy, but you know it needs to hit the spot. I tried to put together a small guide gift that will hopefully help – if not the right thing, maybe give you an idea.
Top 10 Christmas gifts for luxury lovers – something for the ladies
Chanel calfskin leather flats
Costs £610 from Chanel boutiques (they must be one of the only brands who really do not believe in online retail)
Probably the most classical pair of ballet flats – and in my opinion, the most perfect and comfortable pair of designer shoes. And they are not bad ‘working from home’ shoes either.
Tiffany T Smile Pendant
I am quite fond of the new Tiffany T collection and really like this pendant (I have one in yellow gold) and looking to get a bracelet at some point (major hint here for someone).
Mansur Gavriel tote bag
Costs £575 but currently on sale for £375
I really like this brand and have been supporting them by buying their leather goods since they launched. Their shoes are also lovely.
Johnstons of Elgin cable knit cashmere snood
Costs £115 from Net a Porter
To be worn every day on daily walks. It is wonderful.
N Peal Cashmere slippers
From £150 from N Peal
Top 10 Christmas gifts for luxury lovers – something for the gentlemen
Fur lined cashmere coat from N. Peal
Costs £2750 from N. Peal
An updated classic – for the man who doesn’t want anything too modern, but really wants to stay warm without compromising on style. Mr. O loves his and we put it to the test in Oslo and it gets 5 stars from us.
Atelier Cologne Musc Imperial Cologne Absolue
Costs £55 for 30ml and you can get it from Harrods
Mr. O’s current scent.
Allbirds Wool Pipers
Probably the most comfortable trainers I own. I love the new wool pipers – which are also machine washable.
Top 10 Christmas gifts for luxury lovers – something for the home
It wouldn’t fair to not treat your home to something – and in all honesty, ‘homeware’ is something we buy a lot of when we are in the USA. Why? Because there is quite a big price difference and also variety.
Nespresso Sage Creatista Plus
Best coffee machine we have had (not a single visit to Nespresso Hospital in 2 years of ownership,
Cinco Jotas Iberian Ham
From 620 Euros for the backleg from El Corte Ingles
Amazon Fire HD
I had featured the Fire 10HD before and I still think it offers ultimate convenience when travelling (namely on planes) and outstanding value for money. I like that you can add a micro SD card (click here for USA) and expand the storage capacity (something you cannot do on an iPad) and in all honesty, all I want is to download my favourite shows and watch them when I travel. I added a Fire HD 8 to my collection as it is smaller and fits short haul plane trays better (and a must on medium haul, which can get up to 4 hours). Buy it for yourself, for the children, for everyone. Select the ‘without special offers’ version as it means no ads.
As we are all home, it is great to have some devices around so we can watch different things. Like football in the bathtub with a whisky Mac.
Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle
Costs £105 (down from £125) from Laithwaites. Use Amex20 for an extra 20%
For those of us missing BA’s First cabin, this helps to numb the pain a bit. See my champagne edit.
So there are my Top 10 Christmas Gifts for luxury lovers and I hope you found some inspiration, if you are still working on your shopping list. From this list, which is your favourite? And more importantly, from your own list, what are you hoping for this Christmas?
