Wonderment, gin, and umbrella are three words I really wish I saw together more often.
I come from a gin-loving family so it has to be the Ultimate Hendrick’s Gin Experience for me! Looks like a gorgeous little set; I love the quirky design. Gin is the best, but this is gin wrapped up beautifully.
I would spend my perfect winter getaway somewhere cold with proper snow! Iceland is on my travel wish-list because it’s magical and mountainous and I’d love to explore it. And I think I’d take myself. It’s the kind of trip I’d like to do alone, at least once. (The gin is another matter. In my house, we always share the gin.)
Iceland may have to wait, but I can explore the wonders (and peculiarities) of Hendrick’s Gin Experience well enough!

There is only one choice for me and that is the Belmond La Residencia Mallorca! As you know I am a huge fan of Belmond Hotels and my aim is to experience each and every property around the world so this would assist me in achieving my goals. The property also looks stunning and I enjoyed reading your review. I have not visited Mallorca for a number of years so this is yet another reason and it would be an honour and privilege to experience this hotel. In terms of a perfect winter getaway, it has to be skiing in Val D’Isere. There is nothing like mountain air combined with good local Savoyarde food and wine, not to mention the exercise is good for you!

    Happy 5th anniversary Mrs O!

If I could choose I would choose the Coffee machine as i have always wanted one of these, and it all just looks so festive and fantastic 🙂
If I could get away with my Husband I would want to go where I could sit and see the Northern Lights. I have never been abroad but this is one sight that would be on my Bucket list to see in my life. I love the idea of being all wrapped up snug and warm with my husbands arms wrapped around me as we watch Natures amazing light show.

I would like to win the Hendricks experience as I have a luxury food & travel blog and normally I only write about wine. For the winter getaway, I would like to take my son to Faviken Restaurant in the very north of Sweden, among the snow, where it will be so dark in winter that it will be great for focussing on the dining experience,

Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary Ana!
I’ve eyed up the beautiful Belmond property in the past as it looks like the perfect spot to unwind for a few days and also love your flytographer photos so much…it would be extremely hard to choose between the two.
My perfect winter getaway this year would be a flight home to New Zealand to the sunshine to have some mum, dad and sister cuddles after a very rough year!
    Have a lovely Christmas Ana

    Hi Mrs. O –
First time reader here. I came across your site because I follow Nizuc Resort and Spa on Facebook and they were sharing your giveaway. Originally, I was interested in the Nizuc giveaway, but now that I see all of the others the choice is incredibly difficult. So let’s get this out here right now, I would take any of these amazing giveaways. I repeat, I would happily take any of these giveaways.

Now that we got that out of the way. I would choose to go back to Nizuc with my husband Alex Price. We went there on our honeymoon last January and had the most amazing experience. I regret that we didn’t stay longer and wish that we could have spent more indulging in beverages and food, checking out their wellness experiences and taking in the breathtaking views. As I mentioned before, I follow Nizuc on several of their social channels and their posts make me want to buy the first ticket down there each day.

I’d love a winter getaway to the Maldives as I’ve never been – paradise would be easy to get my guy to leave the UK for sun and sand.

As for prizes, all seem lovely but if I had to pick, I’d love to go back to Spain for more tapas and cava and the villa looks amazing

    Congrats on 5 years!

    December 6, 2016 at 4:13 pm

I would take a winter getaway with my husband to be in Exuma as we’ve always wanted to go and swim with pigs! We get married in May and have no honeymoon booked yet so would love the 3 nights in Mexico! Although love the look of that Nespresso machine too! 🙂

    December 6, 2016 at 3:18 pm

Ana, once again you’ve outdone yourself. Congratulations on five years of Mrs. O Around the World. Time goes quickly when you are having fun, and you certainly are. And we, your lucky readers, get to experience your travels and try to recreate your magic!

These prizes are all fabulous – how do you expect us to choose! You know I love Spain and the amazing food there, so I would love to bring my friends there for the stay in the Villa, or to take a wonderful food tour with Toma. And then document the entire experience with the wonderful Flytograper (one of my favorite finds of yours).

But, this has been a year of learning to love and appreciate gin. Always one of my favorite spirits, you and Simon introduced me to all there is to explore in the world of gin, and I am hooked. From Fever Tree mixers to the big gin glasses used in Spain and Portugal to all the many gins to try and enjoy, I am hooked! So what better way to continue learning and enjoying gin than with the Hendricks Gin prize.

As for my perfect winter getaway? It’s so hard to decide. After seeing photos of Lapland and snow and reindeer recently, I think I’d love to explore that region of the world to experience a true winter wonderland. Dave is not a fan of the cold, so if I couldn’t convince him to go, I’d bring my sister or one of my girlfriends. I’d love to go before Christmas so we could visit some Christmas markets before heading into the country for some quiet wonder!

Congrats on five years, and what fabulous prizes to be giving away! The Villa stay in Marbella is a highlight for me, but the Belmond Mallorca stay is a close second (my favorite hotel chain in the world)! For a perfect winter getaway, I’d take my husband and would try to get my family involved as well – we’re scattered around the globe so spending time together is always very valued! ✧

    December 6, 2016 at 12:35 pm

I would love to win the break in Spain in the Villa Cezanne. I have visited several Spanish cities but not ventured into the countryside regions and Andalucia looks stunning. The villa looks beautiful – what views! I would take my family and my sister’s family. We rarely get quality time together and a week in a villa would be the perfect tonic for us all. My perfect winter get away would be to take my husband and two children to Thailand for an exotic adventure!

  21. Victoria

    December 6, 2016 at 12:12 pm

Almost impossible to choose between all of the wonderful prizes BUT I can’t imagine anything better right now than to jet off to Mexico for three nights. My perfect winter getaway would be with my boyfriend, Sam, to Budapest. I know it is one of Anna’s favourite places to visit, and it does certainly look beautiful.

  22. Lynnsay Jane Dulley

    December 6, 2016 at 11:32 am

Thank you for five years of sharing, your experiences have influenced my choices so many times! When you wrote about Belmond La Residencia in October it went right to the top of my ‘must go’ list. The views, the art, the personal touch, definitely my choice. Perfect winter getaway? – New York always, it has it’s own very special magic and with whom, husband Neil who’s pretty special too!

  23. Fiona Quinn

    December 6, 2016 at 11:17 am

Great giveaways again. My perfect winter getaway would be anywhere with the girls – it doesn’t matter where we are, we always have fun.

If I could choose something I would probably choose the Nespresso machine – would you believe I don’t have a coffee machine at all.

  24. laura rolf

    December 6, 2016 at 11:10 am

    Second time lucky 😉 maybe…

The prize I would love is the Flytogether photography session. You see half my family live in England and the other half live in Australia and while we are in constant contact, the moments that we have when we are physically together are rare and so very precious. In March my family (myself, husband and 2 children) are flying to Bali to meet both my sister, her husband and two children and my sister in law (who also lives in Sydney) and her husband and 2 children – one of whom will be one when we are there and we haven’t met yet. We are so, so excited about all getting together and while we are leaving another 2 sisters behind in the UK who sadly can’t come, it really will be a holiday of a lifetime together and one which we would cherish some lovely photos of. So that’ s why … even though a wknd away from the kids in Mexico or Mallorca would be incredible – times like these don’t come around very often!

For me the perfect Winter getaway would be a reunion of my family who as I said are currently scattered between here and Australia in a cosy beachside cottage in a little village along the British coast – somewhere like Hope Cove in Devon. Log fires burning, wintery beach walks, board games galore and a lovely local pub service mince pies, mulled wine and pies – heavenly

Congratulations on the first 5 and here’s to turning that 5 into a 50!!

Mallorca really is the perfect winter escape in so many ways – 300+ days of sunshine, delectable food, warm Spanish hospitality and to wake up to the panoramic views of Deia couldn’t be a more perfect way for the other Mr Highlife and I to spend a weekend in the sun. Thanks Mrs. O and happy anniversary!

I am not a huge shopper, instead I spend my money on travel and exploring so any chance to get on a plane I will! (Being Australian it has never been cheap!) I am now living with my English boyfriend in Bath and can’t believe how easy it is to travel! You have certainly been very lucky! The villa getaway in Spain with a group to share the experience with would be a huge treat and like nowhere I have stayed before, it’s usually budget accom, Airbnb or friends spare bed around the world! Can you believe this very travelled Aussie has actually NEVER seen falling snow! (open mouth & shock I’m sure) So to be honest anywhere for a magical winter holiday with SNOW!!! , a warm place to retreat back inside and good company (which bravely I will say my boyfriend Luke & my single dear Mum who is visiting me from Oz next year). Thanks for sharing some great prizes and I will be sure to keep reading, as travel blogs are the one blog I take seriously and look for honest advice, tips and off the beaten track ideas!

La Residencia would be my Numero Uno – not to far to go from the UK, but looks far enough away to be living in paradise!
My ideal winter getaway is what I’m experiencing now – visiting family in Zanzibar, for a little bit of winter sun before Christmas and the busy New Year period! Although next year, I think I’ll probably bring the ol’ dear with me!

Hi Ana, first of all congratulations on your blog! As an avid traveller and a writer myself, I’m always drowned to these sorts of articles. I’m actually doing a round-the-world trip right now a friend and, after spending Christmas in Cuba, we will be heading to Mexico to discover the wonderful land of the Mayas! And because backpacking trips can sometimes be a bit rough, our choice would definitely be the 3-night stay at Nizuc Resort & Spa in Mexico. After so many months travelling, we can not think of a better way to restore our energies!

The Mexico trip would be nice as I like my golf, and beach!
A glass of wine never goes unnoticed. Nespresso would be the perfect cure thereafter…

    Happy 5 years! Brilliant feat!

Happy for either the Mexico trip, Nespresso machine or if you are really struggling, Luxury Villa Collection.

I would love to properly see the Northern Lights, and share this experience with my good friends, with fine wine, good food and amazing music. If I had to take my wife, I would… else just friends is enough 😉 Merry Xmas Mrs O xx

Dearest Ana, first and foremost, Congratulations! We’ve been following you for a while now and there’s never a dull moment. All three are dream destinations, really, and a much welcomed break during the winter season. I would travel with my beloved wife to Mallorca to stay at the fabulous Belmond La Residencia. It’s near us, hosts a collection of fine art and located in the Tramuntana Mountans. Perfect!

This is such a cool competiton with great quality items! Congratulations on your 5th blog birthday!!

If I could choose, I would opt for either the one free stay at Villa Cezanne in Spain and spend it with the English side of the family, or the 30 Minute Flytographer Vacation Photo Shoot as quality photographs of us as a family are so important, and lots of fun, if only I could get teenage son to take it with us lol!

I would spend my winter getaway with my German husband and my 14 year old teenage son. I’m aware that most parents want to spend quality time AWAY from their kids, but I think the opposite! Both my husband and son are only children, and the amount of time that the three of us have together before our teen no longer finds it “cool enough,” is pretty short! I live in Germany, and I’d have to say that my winter getaway would be where it’s cold and snowy. Both my son and I love skiing but my husband doesn’t, so it would have to be with excellent apres ski, marvellous cocktails, and champagne on tap!

This is a stunning travel giveaway! Makes it hard to choose because honestly…id go anywhere…especially from the Villa Collection. And your focus on Spain is a place I have yet to set my feet. Luxuriating in a villa: the peace of reading a book, sleeping in, gazing out across a lovely view while eating a spectacular meal, alone time with my husband….just thinking about it makes me sigh. So take me to Villa Cezanne…or anywhere else your heart feels gracious enough to send me. I will be grateful. Many congratulations on 5 years…THAT is an accomplishment you can be proud of. I am impressed and you are a role model for me. Thank you. Even if I don’t win any of these fabulous prizes…thank you for offering them up for a little bit of travel dreaming. it has been a nice break from the day. If you choose it, may you have another 5 successful years. Siri

Great competition. We would love to take the whole family to Villa Cezanne or return to La Residencia – we’ve had lunch on the terrace, but never stayed, we were up the coast in Port Soller.

Congratulations! I know it’s been an amazing journey for you. I’d pick the Flytographer prize for my honeymoon in September 2017. Although it was a very close call between that and a stay at Belmond la-Residencia in Mallorca, again for my honeymoon. As for my perfect winter getaway, that would be a cosy cottage with my fiance, anywhere in the UK with stunning scenery and country walks. Like Domine I’d also require a log fire and a traditional pub (that brewed their own beer and served excellent food) within walking distance.

For the me 30 Min photoshoot with Flytographer, please. Anything else on the list also fine of course. Who would not want to go to Spain or Mexico!
This winter I would love to spend a week is a super luxury chalet in Switzerland or Austria, equipped with indoor pool, gourmet personal chef, spa, outdoor hot tub (which I would probably never use because I am always too cold, but I like the sound of it), skidoo, open fireplaces and stunning views? Does it exist???

We’d love to experience Villa Cezanne. A week of LVC luxury would be amazing!
For a winter getaway, I think we’d need to go back to the beautiful ski area of Baquiera Beret or a beach relaxing holiday in the French Polynesian. Let me know when you have a giveaway for there 🙂

If I could choose, it would be the TOMA wine and ham tour in Ronda.
The perfect winter getaway for 2017 would be a trip to Santiago, Chile. I continue to work on my photography skills and I’ve been told that Santiago is a city that makes love to the camera.

    December 4, 2016 at 9:26 pm

Wow this blog is amazing! We’ve just had our first child so I guess my perfect winter getaway would be in the perfect log cabin in Canada (I’ve never been) to experience real snow and real fires. We would invite a lot of the family and have a full board experience so that we could enjoy each other and our baby without getting bogged down with cooking/cleaning etc.
If I won I would love the Mexico experience – we’ve been once but we did the rough and ready kind of trip staying in b&b’s – it was a great experience but I’d love to see the other more ‘indulgent’ side of Mexico

My perfect winter getaway would of course be with my husband, and the place would be honestly wherever it is nice and warm (above 20 degrees celsius), preferably with a beach and also near lots of greenery. If I could win one prize it would definitely be the Spanish villa -what a dream place! I’ve been to Spain once but I was supervising a group of high school band students, so I’m not sure if it really counts. 😉 I just stumbled across your blog for the first time this evening, so that was pretty lucky timing to get in on the contest. 🙂

An ideal winter getaway for me would be to one of those European cities that are famous for their Christmas markets (there are quite a few to choose from!), or if in the US, to New York City.

If I could choose, I’d choose to Flytographer prize. I used them once on my first solo trip, and I have such amazing photos and memories to treasure. This time I’d love to travel with someone, either my mom or a significant other, and capture more travel memories to last a lifetime.

A fabulous blog. So glad I have found it! Amazing prizes for this competition but for me it would have to be Belmond La Residencia. It holds so many happy memories of sunny afternoon teas with my mum although we never actually stayed at the hotel. We would travel there from Pollenca each holiday as our special treat!

As for my perfect winter break that would have to be a few days snuggled up with my gorgeous little West Highland White Terrier, Molly, at The Cuckoo Brow Inn at Far Sawrey in the beautiful Lake District. Such a cosy pub with log fires and fab food and so welcoming to our four legged friends. Molly never fails to come away without making new friends! And that makes me a very happy mummy ?

Haha I didn’t even answer the whole question — I’d pick the Nespresso machine actually, and leave the travel experiences to others who have entered. My life is rich with those but a good coffee machine is something I am so desperately in need of because I can’t do bad coffee, and Nespresso is what’s on my Christmas list. What I would give to treat my Mam and family to a week in a villa in Spain. My dad suddenly passed away last week, within 10 minutes of feeling unwell and who was usually pretty healthy. He and my Mam were married 31 years next week and they were truly soulmates. I feel helpless and really want to do something for my family during this surreal time but I have no idea what I could do. This would be a great opportunity to do something for everyone.

My perfect winter getaway is actually happening this year. I’m working for Christmas and my two little girls and my mum are coming with me to LA and we are going to Disney on Christmas Day. All my friends have made this happen by saving their money and paying it forward to us.

Congratualations on 5 years of luxury travel blogging! If I could choose I would select the 3 night stay at Nizuc Resort and Spa in Mexico because I have never been to Mexico and I have never left Canada by plane. Living in Canada can be so cold during the winter so it would be nice to escape to a luxury resort in Mexico surrounded by the white sands of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef with my boyfriend Drew#Mrs05! I know we would love to go snorkeling with all the colourful fish and try out the underwater art museum!

Congratulations on 5 epic years Ana! Being asked to choose between all these prices is a little like what it must be like when someone asks you to name your favourite child! ? But the Belmond property in Mallorca definitely gets my vote! Whilst I usually say my ideal winter getaway (and indeed last year’s one!)is usually NYC with my hubby, this time round, I think I’d have to say a relaxing resort in Madeira with Mum and Dad would be my ideal – I’ve never been, plenty of beautiful views for Mum to keep herself entertained with whilst hubby goes off hiking, Dad throws himself into his golf obsession & I get to chill by the pool with a drink! Oh wait…family holidays are meant to be about doing things TOGETHER right?! 😉

Mrs. O, I just discovered you blog and it’s wonderful!

It’s been a number of years since I had the opportunity to the a considerable international trip. Ten years ago I had to choose between getting married or taking good a trip I’d been planning to Spain and Morocco. I chose the love of my life. But now it’s time for SPAIN! Any of the 3 options with TOMA tour would be amazing! My first European travel experience was guided by Mannie Coe many years ago, so it would be incredible to see him again, as well as have the advantage of his expertise.

My perfect Winter getaway anything Mediterranean. The temperate climate, the beauty of the craggy, pink coastline, and the world class cuisine beckons me with its siren song.

What a fantastic list of prizes and congratulations on your blog’s 5th year anniversary Mrs O! Your blog was the 1st one I subscribed to when I started blogging earlier this year and I love following your jet setting adventures. I would love to enjoy Spain in style with the Luxury Villa Collection as I’ve never had a villa holiday before and I need to be a little more adventurous with my accommodation bookings next year as they do look fantastic! My second choice would be the six months membership of ten concierge.

I would spend my perfect winter getaway in Iceland discovering ice caves, searching for the northern lights, bathing in hot springs and indulging in a spot of snow mobiling. This would be with my beloved husband – he’s my partner in crime and I go on too many work trips without him so our time together is precious.

Congrats on 5 years – such an accomplishment! While all the prizes look amazing, the Nizuc resort getaway in Mexico would be the perfect prize for me. I’m a new mom to a now 1 year old and life has definitely changed lately! My husband and I are avid travelers and while we’ve still traveled a lot with baby in tow (we are hoping to raise a little traveler), we have yet to have a vacation “alone.” Mexico has been on our list of places to take a vacation, and the resort looks amazing!

  75. Elizabeth Payne

    December 1, 2016 at 6:25 pm

The perfect winter getaway would be some place warmer and brighter than England is now…
While I have been lucky enough to call England home for the last seven and half years, I still have not accepted the cold, dark, blustery winters. My new husband Jon is definitely my chosen travel partner, and we are coming off of a year-long travel ban (trying to curb the travel expenses so that we can buy a house soon.) And for as long as I have called England home and for as much as I have traveled, I have not yet ventured to Spain. Evidently, according to most everyone, it is a place that I need to go, especially since I have fallen head over heels in love with Portugal (and in particular, Porto, thanks to a lovely food tour (twice) with Taste Porto.)

And so, that brings me to my choice in prizes. It would have to be one handcrafted Beyond the Guidebook Tour in Spain, designed exclusively for Mrs. O Around the World by Toma. This traveler would appreciate the chance to fall in love with another country via good food, good wine, and good people. 🙂

Happy 5th Birthday Mrs. O! I’ve been following for a few years now and always appreciate your insight!

My first choice is the Villa Cezanne. I’ve wanted to travel to Spain for some time now, and to experience it with several friends and family would be lovely!

My perfect winter getaway would be with my boyfriend to white sand beaches of Turks and Caicos; sunshine and relaxing days on the beach!

I’m new to your blog but very familiar with your recent tour in Marbella and Malaga. If I were to win one of the prizes I’d love to win the 2-nights in Mallorca. I’ve never visited the island and it’s on my must-visit list. Deia sounds an idyllic spot and would make an ideal base for exploring the rest of the island’s treasures. Who would I share this treasure hunting with? My husband of 27 years, of course – my soul mate and life companion. The only person who would make this break complete.

  79. Sue

    December 1, 2016 at 2:51 pm

Congrats & what a fab competition… If I could, I’d chose the two night stay at the Belmond La Residencia – and I would spend my winter getaway somewhere warm & sunny (the Caribbean perhaps? as Las Residencia is closed) taking my best friend, who has spent the last three years caring for her Mum who has Alzheimer’s yet still finds the time to work for the wider community as a District Councillor – she never ever complains and yet she so rarely gets time to look after herself because she’s so busy looking after others, so a warm winter break would be a real treat – something for her to look forward to and a chance for her to have some “me time”.

Still loving and following the blog after five years – its always different and topical, and I always manage to gleam some snippet of useful info or an idea from each post ! 🙂

We’ve never been together and it would be the perfect romantic trip!

If I was one of the lucky, lucky winners I would choose Villa Cezanne as my prize as I could take my whole family to celebrate my wonderful dad’s 80th Birthday next year – it looks just perfect and it would be a magical and memorable way to mark this special birthday.

Congratulations on 5 years, a great achievement. How can I choose between these amazing prizes. My first thought was the luxury Spanish villa but the £2000 deposit would make me too nervous to enjoy it. I’d have preferred an insurance option. The coffee machine sounds wonderful but I think my favourite has to be the stay at
Belmond La Residencia. The pool looks amazing, and there’s a view to die for.

My perfect win getaway would be somewhere warm and back to nature, somewhere like the middle of the Costa Rican rainforest sleeping in a treehouse, waking up to the sound of wildlife all around

Wow, 5 years! congratulations Mrs O – it has been wonderful keeping up with your travels over the years and I look forward to many more years of following you around the world!
My perfect winter getaway would be to somewhere warm and sunny with my family to escape the freezing cold of England (sorry, I am not a winter person!) This year I am going to Madeira to spend Christmas and New Years with my family – the perfect place for some winter sun!
The selection of prizes is just fantastic and you have made it really difficult to chose something…. But I would go for the Flytographer shoot. I was lucky enough to experience my first Flytographer shoot with Goncalo in Paris in June this year – I was 7 months pregnant at the time and the photos Goncalo took were just amazing! They are a wonderful souvenir of my trip to Paris and of my pregnancy! I would now love to do a Flytographer photo shoot in Cape Town when I visit in February 2017 – but this time I will have my little baby girl with me so it will be extra special!!

I would spend a winter getaway in the Belmond Residencia with Mrs Jools of course, sitting in a bathtub of warm gin, sipping on a Nespresso-brewed machiato… Possibly not at the same time though because funnily enough our own beloved Nespresso machine has just broken and I don’t think a gin bath will do it any favours.

We did a Flytographer session in London last year and absolutely loved it!

My perfect winter getaway is actually the one my husband Bradley and I are going on later this week: to the Christmas Markets in Europe! We’re trying out river cruising for the first time, which I’m very excited about. I can’t wait to sip mulled wine and get my holiday shopping done. I’m hoping we fall in love with the experience and make it an annual tradition.

Thank you for this amazing treat! Good luck to all.
I would really enjoy a visit to NIZUC Resort & Spa with my husband. We were just discussing over dinner that he and I have never been away once together without our daughter. She’s going to be 10! This could be the perfect starting point to some really wonderful romanic getaways close to home.

Mexico with my boyfriend! I went to Edinburgh to study last year so we were far away for a year, and he’s going next year so we will be far away again :/ He loves Mexico, btw! (we’re from Ecuador)

I would go to Spain with my husband. For us, 2016 has been the hardest year of of lives – medical issues, a marriage in crisis, children challenges, work issues, family challenges, and Trump elected as the President. I can safely say I am going to be very happy to say adios to 2016. But I have hope. I feel the light. The dawn will bring about a new day. And we met in Spain. We fell madly, deeply, in love in Spain. We can’t afford to go back right now, but I think a trip there would be what the soul needed. And it would bring the light for the new day. New jobs, children healing, health healing, marriage healing. What a miracle.

I would love to win the 3 night stay at the Nizuc resort and spa! Looks like just the thing for my husband and I to splurge on to reconnect! That would be the perfect place, and the perfect person, to spend a winter getaway with!

My ideal price would be to stay at Belmond La residencia. If i do win a dream would come true.
Another dream I have is to go to Kakslauttanen, North of Finland, an actic Resort. There I and my husband could stay in a glass igloo and sleep under the stars and watch the northern lights.

Hi Mrs. O! Congrats on five years, that’s a huge accomplishment.

I would love the Ten Concierge service. I run a travel company providing group tours around the world and often like to provide exclusive experiences that are difficult to procure. I think this service would be very helpful for me and my business. 🙂

Also, I would spend my perfect winter getaway in Cuba with the man I’ve been seeing. It’s been a destination on my list for years.

    What a competition!

If I had to choose from all your fantastic prizes,
(They come in all matter of shapes and sizes!)
It would be the break to mexico,
Coz me and my other half are desperate to go!
Ive been before, a few years past
But not together – it would be such a blast!

    November 28, 2016 at 7:53 am

Congratulations on an incredible 5 years! That is amazing. You are right, it is very hard to pick out of he amazing prizes. If I had to pick one it would be luxury villa collection in Spain which looks amazing and like a perfect getaway for myself and my girlfriend.

My perfect winter break would definelty involve skiing and a log carbin in the mountains with an incredible view and fireplace, but also a place with access to terrific restaurants and shopping for me and my girlfriend. Somewhere like Aspen in Colorado or Courchevel in France Gstaad in Switzerland.

Ola Mrs O- I’d love to win the Nespresso machine. As a regular coffee machine user my sons have been trying to get me to switch to Nespresso for years as they both adore their machines. I currently use a Jura and my eldest and I did a price comparison of the Nespresso capsules to fresh coffee beans per cup and I was amazed that the Nespresso was cheaper. As I keep having issues with my Jura machine breaking down I’m now convinced this is the way to go. Happt Birthday x

Hi Mrs O. Love your blog and thanks for your help with my summer hols! What a fantastic competition. I would love the Villa if I was to win (or the Belmond would be a close second!) my perfect winter getaway would be to New York City. I would love to visit Central Park in the snow with my husband and two boys x

  105. Pete Kendall

    November 27, 2016 at 6:27 pm

They are all amaizinf prizes, however I would choose the Villa in Spain, it looks amazing and I really love that area of Spain. My favourite went to get away would have to be Berlin, it is an amazing city with a mixture of history and fantastic restaurants are great when to get away with this Christmas markets . I would love to go with all the family as working away from home for so long it is a great opportunity to see everyone, and what better place to do it than while on holiday with wine.

    November 27, 2016 at 6:20 pm

5 years? Time flies!! Your blog keeps on getting better and better. Congratulations!!! As for the prize (I have zero hope in getting anything hahaha as I don’t win anything not even if it’s a free cookie) I would go for Belmond mallorca. For the winter getaway I would go to a gorgeous chalet in the alps to enjoy the gorgeous sunrise (with baby Emily and my other half)

  107. Cat Gaa

    November 27, 2016 at 5:43 pm

Wow, such great prizes! You seem to outdo yourself yearly 🙂 I just moved away from Andalucia but would love to head back with my nesw bundle of joy for a bonding session, and Lindsay does lovely work on her villas anyway!

    November 27, 2016 at 5:11 pm

Happy 5th Blogiversary Mrs O! All the prizes seem fantastic, but if I had to choose just one, it would have to be the stay at the NIZUC Resort and Spa in Mexico. I loved your review of the resort and could quite happily see myself on a kayak steadily navigating my way through the crystal clear water. For my perfect Winter getaway; I would be very happy to be anywhere that’s warm during the day, but cooler at night. That’s so I can find a snug spot near to a log fireplace with my parents and arrange our plans for the following day. There may need to be a box of chocolates nearby too!

    November 27, 2016 at 3:03 pm

Congrats on your 5 year anniversary… only started reading the blog this year, and really enjoy it.

If I had to choose just one of the giveaways… it would have to be the 2 nights at the Belmond! When I spain, I would probably have to buy a foodie tour!!! I mean, how could you go to Spain and not eat!!!

Winter getaway… we spent 2 weeks in Europe over Christmas 2014… Vienna, Prague, Munich, Davos and Zurich.. Christmas in Europe is amazing. If I could, I would spend a week in Davos with my wife… it was just amazing there.

I would choose the Nespresso since I have been a big fan for many years! It reminds me of my travels and all the luxury hotel suites and rooms I have visited and discovered with excitement that I had a Nespresso in the room! I always share my excitement of finding it with my fans! When I drink a great espresso I can take a break from my everyday life and remember all the great times I have enjoyed a nespresso beverage during my travel adventures!

Dear Mrs. O, Thank you for sharing your love! I would dearly enjoy taking off for Buenos Aires this winter with my husband of 21 years. We would walk all over the city, enjoy lots of fine dining and wine and fall into some wonderful hotel to rest up! If I could pick one prize ….it would be the luxury spanish villa rental as we love to settle into a place and get provisions as see the local scene. THis would be perfect for that kind of trip. I would be grateful to win any of the prizes.

Happy 5th anniversary and thanks again!

    November 27, 2016 at 3:38 am

Wow, what an absolutely fabulous collection of prizes. If I was fortunate enough to win, I’d choose the 2 night stay at the Belmond La Residencia in Deia on Mallorca. I love everything about rural Mallorca from the lush green pine trees, stunning Tramuntana mountain range to the beautiful little villages full of rustic charm, preserved by UNESCO World Heritage to the exquisite secluded coves with soft sandy shores and crystal clear turquoise sea. As for the perfect winter getaway, I’ve always wanted to experience the Balearic Islands out of season to capture the almond blossom in full bloom and photograph the deserted natural beauty hot spots, just me and the sea. I’d take my parents so they too could experience the wonders of travel and the exciting opportunities that truly open our mind and broaden our horizons. Happy memories to treasure forever.

We would love the “SPAIN IN STYLE WITH THE LUXURY VILLA COLLECTION”, especially paired with one of the exclusive tours! We love to travel, and our kids are getting old enough that we could bring them for their enjoyment, or leave them behind, because they’d be fine! We’ve been married nearly 23 years, and trips like this make everything romantic and fresh! #MrsO5

What a giveaway! I would love to win the Mallorca or Spain trip and build around it. I have folder all about it that I’ve riped out of magazines over the years about both areas. Holidays skiing with my family are where we will be, together in Aspen, which is small and magical. But I honestly would love to drop the skis one year and go to a winter ranch. Still a winter wonderland, but without the hassleof skis!

You are always so kind with your readers, Mrs.O. If I could, I would love the Flytographer experience, mainly because my husband and I look great on photos and we only realized that on our wedding photo sessions. As for the Winter getaway, I’d love to return to England so I could know some areas not-London with my husband, of course. We deserve a getaway because these last months have been very eventful (and most not nice).

I would love all these wonderful prizes, but in having to choose one, I would have to say the 2 night stay at Belmond La Residencia as I’ve always dreamed of going to Mallorca! The resort looks absolutely stunning, so this would really be a dream come true!

Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary and for offering such great giveaways!

These prizes are fabulous, thank so much for holding such an amazing competition! If I could go on my perfect Winter getaway it would be in Iceland, somewhere remote, under the stars, with my new husband. If I was lucky enough to win a prize, I would prefer the Malaga trip, although there’s nothing listed here that wouldn’t leave me totally chuffed!

  119. Amber

    November 25, 2016 at 10:29 pm

Oh my goodness! These are all such lovely prizes – some of which I’ve had the joy to experience myself (namely Flytographer and Nespresso – though we don’t have nearly as fantastic a machine!), or through your wonderful blog!

It’s certainly a hard choice to pick a prize, (I’d love ANY of them – you simply can’t go wrong!!!) and I’m torn between the two holidays in Spain! I am fortunate to have received a grant to complete a site visit with one of our partners in France in March of 2017, and am hoping to extend the trip to a holiday and bring my husband over for a much deserved getaway after a very stressful year! Either would be PERFECTLY timed!!!!

Since we’re quiet people and I know my husband would utterly adore it, I would absolutely love to be able to surprise him with a visit to Villa Cezanne, which would be perfectly placed to enjoy the Spanish coastline (something I’ve been dying to do, maybe even see the Rock of Gibraltar!), swim in that gorgeous infinity pool, have some wine in the bodega (seriously, SO CUTE) and cook some lovely Spanish dinners! (Or have someone else cook them for us!) AND, as an added bonus, if we decided we would like some company to join us, the villa is large enough to accommodate friends or family! (Or not… 😉

As far as a winter getaway, I’d also go with my Husband, and I’m thinking a little trip to visit friends in Denver might be in order this year – I don’t ski, but I love the mountains, and one can always sip cocoa (or wine) by the fire, no? 🙂

Thank you again, Mrs. O, for being so good to your readers and always sharing your honest opinions, sage advice, humor and passion – and HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY!!!

I really appreciate that you have this generous contest for your followers. If I were so lucky to win, I dream of the Luxury villa in Spain because it would be an excuse to return to that fascinating country. And, the villa prize is for up to 8 persons, so I could invite my whole family! What a treat a villa holiday would be.
My winter getaway wish would be to go Bonaire for some snorkeling with my sister.

  121. Allison S

    November 25, 2016 at 3:23 pm

Thank you for such a wonderful selection of fabulous gifts. If I had to choose it would be the Nespresso coffee maker that I have enjoyed at fantastic hotels during my travels. Also, my winter getaway would be to Hawaii with my husband.

  122. Robin Hutson

    November 25, 2016 at 3:18 pm

I’d love to win a Flytographer session! I would love to be IN the photos for once with my family!

  123. Carla Duborjal Canha

    November 25, 2016 at 1:37 pm

Hard choice…but maybe I would choose the Flytographer giveway.
I will be in Paris&Disneyland with my family for a few days in December and my princess is almost turning 12. The photo shoot would be perfect. Fingers crossed!

  124. Nikki T

    November 25, 2016 at 1:37 pm

Congratulations on this milestone! Your blog was ‘born’ a few weeks after my son 🙂
Do I really have to choose one thing? In all honesty, all the prizes sound wonderful and I’d be extremely happy to receive any!! BUT…a stay at one of the gorgeous properties you have to offer would be delightful for me and my little family. My husband and I are strong believers in immersing our kids in the big wide world and we want to instil the love of travel that we have, in them too. On that note, I guess I answered your question! My perfect winter getaway would be spent with my husband and children somewhere warm and sunny, relaxing by the pool or lazing on a hammock with a good book in one hand and a delicious cocktail the other 🙂

  125. Chris Healy

    November 25, 2016 at 12:44 pm

My ideal choice would be The Luxury Villa Collection, as timing would suit perfectly, and be a nice final trip before starting a family. But so many great prizes on offer.

    • Chris Healy

      November 28, 2016 at 12:45 pm

And as for the ideal winter getaway, I’d spend it with my wife and head on a flight to Los Angeles, where we would spend a couple of nights…’heavy’ nights in LA. Hotel would be W Beverly Hills because of points/status or maybe The Sunset Tower which is a cool place that I’ve only been once, but said I’d like to go back. The Spare Room at The Roosevelt would be having a visit, if you’ve not been it’s a hidden bowling bar, and one of the coolest places I’ve been, great atmosphere, fun and top drinks.

Then after hitting LA hard for a couple of nights it would then be a few nights in Laguna Beach, we stay at The Pacific Edge Hotel who have rooms with balconies literally on the water (it’s not a luxury hotel and you pay big prices purely for the view but it’s worth it!). It’s definitely one of our favourite spots in the world, it’s where I proposed and one of the places we went to on our honeymoon. The views from the balcony are amazing, and it’s a perfect place to unwind with a beer/wine in the day if you want a rest from the beach. Also a great spot over the road for sushi to takeaway, so beer/wine sunset, then sushi champagne in the evening. Then you wake up with a bit of a sore head, then you head to the bakery in the morning for some cronuts and then over the road for some bloody merries, followed by a lobster grilled cheese, and then you’re fully recovered 🙂

So escaping there after xmas would be amazing, doubt it will happen this January so we will wait until we are back in June, but Californian sun in Jan is very appealing compared to the Manchester rain!

  126. Chinmoy Lad

    November 25, 2016 at 10:31 am

I’d like to win the Nespresso Coffee Machine please!

  127. Rachel Webb

    November 25, 2016 at 9:54 am

I would choose the Luxury Villa Collection and stay there with my three gorgeous sons and two of their lovely Spanish girlfriends.

  128. Irene Pate

    November 25, 2016 at 7:39 am

What an amazing lot of prizes, I would love to win the 2 nights in Majorca or the villa in Spain but all the prizes are superb. I would love to spend my winter getaway with my husband on Baros in the Maldives, spent our honeymoon there and just love the place.

  129. AmandaB

    November 25, 2016 at 7:39 am

I would love to win the Flytographer prize. Winter in New York must be the most amazing experience. I would love to see the steam rising from the streets, eat pizza from a giant box, Santa ringing a bell on the street corners, watch an amazing parade, peer into the shop fronts on 5th Avenue. I have seen all this in films, but never for real. How great to travel there in winter and take home fabulous photo memories to treasure forever.
PS I know the prize is the photos not the trip. XX

  130. Anna Parker

    November 25, 2016 at 7:34 am

A welcome diversion to the work I should be doing… I can’t really choose, but I have never had a villa holiday and want to explore Spain a little more, so I think that would be the best little prize-winning adventure for me! Happy blogiversary

    • Domine Nowell

      November 29, 2016 at 4:27 pm

Villa Cezanne would be my first choice as although I have travelled extensively across Europe I have never been to Spain!
My perfect winter getaway would be with my husband Richard and Sprocker Spaniel Bella to a quirky thatched cottage in a Cornwall, where we could cosy up in front of the fire after a long dog walk and trip to the pub!
