10 of the Best Luxury Hand Washes

10 best hand washes molton brown jo malone dyptiqye byredo acqua di parma aromatherapy associates bamford jo loves tom dixon

Looking for the perfect and wonderfully smelling luxury hand wash?

Here are some ideas ranging from cult classics such as Jo Malone and Molton Brown hand wash, to ‘something different’ from brands such as Diptyque, Byredo, Acqua di Parma and a few more.

I still remember my first: Molton Brown Naran Ji hand wash. I love love love hand wash products – I have featured these many times in my seasonal beauty round up posts and it is an area where I think it is worth the investment. Why? A little goes a long way, and they do also come with beautiful packaging that will look great in your bathroom at home.

Here are some of my favourite hand washes, I would like to recommend (in no particular order):

10 of the Best Luxury Hand Washes

Dior Ambre Nuit Hand Soap, 350ml

Costs £50 and you can get it from Dior or select airport locations

This was one of my last airport purchases pre-lock down and I LOVE this scent. It is warm, it is sexy – I love Amber. And the bottle is also gorgeous (and much larger than many others featured below)

Claus Porto Favorito Red Poppy Liquid Soap

Costs £27 and you can get it from Liberty London (currently marked down to £18) or The Conran Shop.

Jo Loves Green Orange and Coriander Hand Cleanser, 200ml

Costs £40/$50 and you can get it from Net-a-Porter (Global), Cult Beauty (Global) and Space NK

Jo Malone CBE (founder of Jo Malone who was subsequently sold to Estee Lauder) started a new brand, called Jo Loves, and I absolutely love this scent (I also have it as a Spring / Summer perfume). The whole range is worth a look (and not so easy to find). I also LOVE its Mango Thai Lime hand wash.

Bamford Jasmine Orange Blossom and Cedarwood Hand Wash, 250ml

Costs £24/$35 and you can get it from Net-a-Porter (Global), Liberty London and Selfridges .

Also a product I have featured before a few years ago and that I think is wonderful (and so it their bath oil, for the record). Lady Bamford is also the founder of Daylesford Organic, so you know you are in very good hands.

Byredo Suede Handwash, 450ml

Costs £38/$55 and you can get it in Europe from Space NK, Liberty London  and in North America from Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue.

I am quite partial to some of Byredo’s fragrances (Gypsy Water to be precise) and I love this new Suede hand wash – it’s very different to my normal preferences and I think it is perfect for Winter.

Diptyque softening hand wash, 300ml

Costs £28/$35 and you can get it from HarrodsSelfridges, Space NKNordstrom

Dyptique is also expanding its range now into body products – and doing a good job at it. This hand wash is actually lovely – and you do notice the softening claims (a lot less hand cream needed).

Acqua di Parma Colonia Handwash, 300ml

Costs £29 and you can get it from John Lewis, Harrods, and in North America from Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.

A reinvented classic – the hand wash is relatively new to the ever growing Acqua di Parma range and it is a lovely addition to it. My husband wears their fragrances on a regular basis and I like when I find their shower gel at hotels, but this is even better.

Le Labo Hinoki Hand Wash, 250ml

Costs £17/$20 from Harvey Nichols, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter

Whereas I don’t love the packaging (it could look a bit sexier), I love the smell of ‘sea buckthorn’ and how long it lingers for in my hands. I have featured it before and let’s face it, you cannot really go wrong with Le Labo.

Aromatherapy Associates hand wash, 300ml

Costs £25/$35 and you can get it from Feel Unique (Europe and North America), Beauty Expert (Global)

I really like Aromatherapy Associates who does excellent hotel toiletries too and their hand wash is one we repeat year after year, which should tell you something!

Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot Handwash, 300ml

Costs £20/$30 and you can get it in Europe from Cult Beauty, Amazon, John Lewis and in North America from Molton Brown (USA), Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Blue Mercury.

This is Molton Brown’s classic scent – which used to be called Naran Ji and probably one of my favourite hand washes of all time. This is the one that started it all and to this day you will always find it in one of our bathrooms at home.

Best Kitchen Handwash

And for the kitchen, I have discovered Faith in Nature’s hand washes which really are wonderful and organic. And a bargain at £4.99 from Amazon.
