Photos of the Week – Best Views of 2012
Today’s topic for #FriFotos is views – very inspiring! So I went through my photo albums and relived some of my best views of the past year!
(I interpreted this as views from windows)
I have to be honest – most views start with this one. And with a bit of rain on the windows – I do live in England after all. But nothing beats the excitement of boarding a plane and heading somewhere exciting, and I love it (as you can imagine!).
Late in 2012, we headed to NYC for a quick pre-Xmas shopping trip, with a stop at a friend’s house for a glass of bubbly. This is the view from her apartment – how incredible is it? I love the energy one gets when in New York – I do feel like I am at the centre of the world! I know I haven’t written about it yet, but look out for it very soon! Click here for New York holidays.
What about this one? One of my favourite things about my first cruise was the spa – the spa treatment room, to be precise. Floor to ceiling windows, and the Mediterranean as your backdrop. Truly incredible. I seriously hope I can pack in another long weekend on board during 2013, as I loved it!
This is one of my favourite views of the year – luckily, I got to visit the W in Barcelona not once, but 4 times, during 2012. With this hotel, Barcelona is now the perfect European city break – with shopping, great food and now, a beach ready to be enjoyed!
But as it is skiing season in Europe, there is nothing like a bit of postcard-pretty views – this was my view when I first went skiing in December in Val d’Isere. I am really looking forward to skiing for the first time ever in Switzerland (I am sorry, France!) later this month. Surely, there will be amazing pictures to share then!
Until then, wishing you a fab weekend, wherever you may be!

Of course, since I am biased, my favorite is the photo taken in Switzerland!

I know what you mean. I am almost see through!
I live in Chicago and are airport is O’Hare. A favorite saying of mine is without O’Hare there is only despair. I think the same could be said of Heathrow. Not that London and Chicago are not great cities in their own right, but it is always exciting to jump an airplane and end up somewhere exotic.

I’m not a cruise fan either but after seeing that spa room I think I need to reconsider!
